A non-equijoin uses an operator other than the equality operator in the join.

Examples of non-equality operators are:

not-equal (<>),
less than (<),
greater than (>),
less than or equal to (<=),
greater than or equal to (>=),
LIKE,
IN, and
BETWEEN.
