CGI client-related environment variables
    

VARIABLE       MEANING

AUTH_TYPE      the authentication type to be used.

HTTP_ACCEPT    MIME types that the client understands. 

REMOTE_ADDR    The IP address of the client making the CGI request.

REMOTE_HOST    this variable is set to the client's name.

REMOTE_IDENT   client user's name.
