Source Cross Reference  Class Diagram Java Document (Java Doc)

java.lang.Object
   dalma.Condition

Condition
abstract public class Condition implements Serializable(Code)
TODO. Derived by endpoint specific implementation to capture endpoint-specific information. Intances created by a EndPoint in a endPoint specific way.

Condition stays in memory even when the continuation is persisted to a disk, to wait for the activation event.

Condition is serialized as a part of the conversation, allowing conversation to requeue when the engine is loaded from a file.
author:

Constructor Summary
protected  Condition()

Method Summary
final public  voidactivate(T retVal)
     Resumes the conversation parked on this dock.
final public  ConditionListenergetOwner()

final public synchronized  TgetReturnValue()

abstract public  voidinterrupt()
     Called when a Conversation parking on this endPoint is Conversation.remove removed .

The implementation is expected to remove this conversation from any queue it maintains.

final public  booleanisActive()

abstract public  voidonLoad()
     Called after this dock is restored from disk.
abstract public  voidonParked()
     Called after the conversation is parked on this dock. Condition.owner !=null guaranteed.
final public  voidpark(ConditionListener owner)

Constructor Detail
Condition
protected Condition()(Code)

Method Detail
activate
final public void activate(T retVal)(Code)
Resumes the conversation parked on this dock. Typically invoked by an end point when the conversation should be resumed.

Note that the resumed conversation may start executed even before this method returns.

getOwner
final public ConditionListener getOwner()(Code)

getReturnValue
final public synchronized T getReturnValue()(Code)

interrupt
abstract public void interrupt()(Code)
Called when a Conversation parking on this endPoint is Conversation.remove removed .

The implementation is expected to remove this conversation from any queue it maintains. If the conversation isn't parked, throw an assertion faillure, as it's a bug in the dalma engine.

isActive
final public boolean isActive()(Code)

onLoad
abstract public void onLoad()(Code)
Called after this dock is restored from disk.

Typically used to requeue this object. This happens while the conversation is being restored from the disk.

Note that a Condition may be serialized even after it gets activated (for example, the conversation may be forced to persist before a fiber that owns it gets a chance to be executed.)

onParked
abstract public void onParked()(Code)
Called after the conversation is parked on this dock. Condition.owner !=null guaranteed. Typically used to queue this dock. TODO: should this be the same with onLoad? TODO: error handling semantics. what happens if the park fails?

park
final public void park(ConditionListener owner)(Code)
