<!--
This package contains the sourceode for nrsTable. nrsTable is a javascript dynamic table generator.
It uses JavaScript to generate a table based on arrays and it provides functionality to those tables,
such as sorting, linking, and effect.
To use, simply drop the nrs_table.js into your JavaScript directory and include it in your HTML file
using the command:
<script language="JavaScript" src="path/to/js/folder/nrs_table.js"></script>
There are two steps to use. First, declare the table that you would like nrsTable to link to. This
will determine the placement of your table. Only the table declaration (with a valid id) is needed,
such as:
<table id="myTable"></table>
Then, at the bottom of your code, simply use the setup function like so:
<script language="JavaScript>
nrsTable.setup(
{
table_name: "myTable",
table_header: new Array("first", "second", "third");
table_data: new Array( new Array("1", "1", "1"),
new Array("2", "2", "2"),
new Array("3", "3", "3")
)
}
);
</script>
This will create a table that will look like this:
|----------------------------
| first \/ | second | third |
-----------------------------
| 1 | 1 | 1 |
| 2 | 2 | 2 |
| 3 | 3 | 3 |
-----------------------------
This Table can be sorted by clicking on the heading.
There are many different options that you can use to customize this table. For a list of them, look at
the example html in this package, or browse the documentation in the docs folder.
Also, this package is GPL'ed, so if you add stuff to it, or think of better ways of doing things, please
contact me with code/suggestions/anything else (except SPAM) at gkalinec@newroads.org.
Also bundled with this package is Kristof Coomans' implementation on Martin Pool's Natural Sorting
Algorithm (http://sourcefrog.net/projects/natsort/). This is zlib licensed which is still OSI approved,
that is why I'm bundling it in this distribution. With this library you can better sort table columns.
Again, read the example.html file for instruction on how to do this.
