ServiceContainerImpl

public class ServiceContainerImpl extends ServiceContainer (Code)

This is the default container implementation.

This ServiceContainer implementation has a DEFAULT_CONTEXT only. This context initializes all the services described in the service.xml file that has to be available in the root of the classpath.

Services are initialized in the order defined in in the service.xml and the destroy in reverse order.

The service.xml files must conform to the following 'schema'

Method Detail

destroy

public void destroy()(Code)

Destroys the ServiceContainer object.

This method must be called to take the container out of service. After this method completes, the container is not active anymore.

It destroys the default context.

getContext

public ServiceContext getContext(String name)(Code)

Returns the named ServiceContext of the container.

This container implementation only supports the default container.

Parameters:
name - a String containing the name of the contextto retrieve the ServiceContext with the given name, or nullif the context does not exist

init

public void init() throws ServiceException(Code)

Initializes the ServiceContainer object.

This method must be called before any ServiceContext can be retrieved from the container.

The init method must complete successfully in order for the container to be operational.

This method parses the service.xml file and initializes all the services defined in it.

throws:
ServiceException - if an exception has occurredthat interferes with the container's normalinitialization
